New motors and retrofits solve different problems
In a renovation, a motorised track built around your window usually gives the neatest finish and the easiest path for power and servicing. Dooya makes several motor and control ranges, so we confirm the track, motor and hub together.
In a finished room where replacing the track or ceiling isn’t worth it, a SwitchBot retrofit can work well, if the track shape, curtain weight and Bluetooth signal suit it.
The ceiling detail matters as much as the app
Curtain boxes, stacking space, power points, which way the motor faces and access for future servicing should all be settled before the carpentry closes up. A beautifully hidden motor doesn’t help much if no one can reach it.
We share these details with your ID, electrician and curtain supplier early, so everyone can plan for them.

Curtains can join your morning, evening, glare and away scenes, or respond to a wall button. The exact positions and feedback depend on the motor and how it connects.
Your wall switch, remote or hand control still works, so opening the curtains never means hunting for the right app.

Do you supply and integrate Dooya curtain motors?+
Yes. We can plan Dooya motors as part of your smart-home and curtain design, then confirm the final motor, track and controls against your window, curtain and supplier.
When is SwitchBot Curtain a good option?+
It suits a finished home with a compatible track you’d like to keep. We first check the track type, curtain weight, charging access, Bluetooth signal and how much motor noise you’re happy with.
Can the curtains still work without Home Assistant?+
Where the motor supports it, yes. We plan a wall switch, remote or hand control, and show you what still works if Home Assistant or the network is offline.
When should curtain motor planning begin?+
Before the electrical and carpentry plans are final. That leaves time to sort out power, curtain-box size, motor direction, track support and access for servicing.
