If you change things
You’re free to change it. We just need to know what changed.
Before any support work, we take a fresh backup and note how things are set up. If you or another installer makes a big change later, we may need to look over the new setup before we take on more work.
Safety comes first
Smart features sit on top of proper safety, never in place of it.
Circuit protection, fire and safety equipment, locks and security systems keep their normal, manufacturer-supported controls. Qualified trades handle regulated work, and we never treat Home Assistant as a certified safety device.
Backups and recovery
A backup only helps if you can find it and restore it.
Home Assistant can make encrypted backups automatically and keep them in more than one place. We show you where they are, where the emergency key is kept and what to do if the server fails.
A home you can keep using
Ask what you’ll get when the work is done, not just which devices go in.
We work this way on new installs, on existing Home Assistant systems and in homes where the original installer has moved on.
