Move to a better smart-home system without replacing everything.

A good fit

This service may be right for you if…

01

Start by understanding what is already there

Even a frustrating system contains useful information. Model labels, apps, network details and current behaviour help us work out which devices can be reconnected, kept as they are or replaced. Resetting everything too early can erase those clues and remove controls that are still working.

We first identify what each room depends on and who owns the relevant accounts. Access, essential lighting and climate controls receive a different migration sequence from a decorative lamp or non-critical sensor.

02

Keep the parts that still work well

Some Zigbee devices can move to a suitable coordinator. Some vendor hubs can remain as local bridges. Cloud-only Wi-Fi products may stay temporarily or be replaced when their risk and value justify it. Conventional loads can often remain while only the controlling module changes.

The aim is a reliable home that you control—not replacing good products simply to make every device use the same technology.

  • Keep reliable devices that still suit the home
  • Connect stable existing systems where there is a dependable way to do so
  • Re-pair compatible devices only after the new mesh is ready
  • Replace unsupported products in a sensible order
03

Make sure someone can maintain the new system

Home Assistant can reduce lock-in and bring several systems together, but the server, backups and software still need to be looked after. The new setup should not depend on one person's private account or an unlabelled computer hidden under the television.

At handover, we show you where everything runs, how to recover it, which products still need the internet and who will handle future changes.

How we work

From the first conversation to a finished, working system.

01

See what you have

We record the devices, apps, accounts and everyday functions that cannot be interrupted.

02

Choose the new system

We recommend the platform that suits the home, which may or may not be Home Assistant.

03

Move in stages

We change one manageable group at a time and make sure normal control still works.

04

Put you in control

You receive the accounts, backups, names and recovery information.

How we quote it · Understand the system before quoting the move

Migration starts with a paid review of the current system. Once we know what can stay and what needs to change, we provide a clear implementation quote.

How Smarter pricing works
Good to know

Questions homeowners often ask.

01Can you migrate Tuya or Smart Life devices to Home Assistant?

Some devices can use a supported integration, some Zigbee models can be recommissioned, and cloud-only products may need to stay or be replaced. We check model and protocol before proposing a path.

02Must every device be replaced?

No. We keep reliable devices and normal controls wherever they still make sense. We replace only the products that prevent the new system from working properly or create an unacceptable risk.

03Can we migrate while living in the home?

Usually. We work on one manageable area at a time and make sure the everyday controls are working before we leave each day.

04Will Home Assistant be the new family app?

It can be, but it does not have to be. Your family can keep using Apple Home or Google Home while Home Assistant brings the different products and automations together behind the scenes.
