Why a separate brand
Platform-agnostic and Aqara-specialist are both credible—just not in the same promise.
HomeSmart should recommend confidently inside its specialist lane. Smarter should be able to say that a different hub, a KNX bridge, Home Assistant, or no extra platform at all is the better architecture.
Tell the customer what not to buy
The fastest way to lose trust in a small technical market is to turn every diagnosis into the same basket.
Disclose the supply relationship
PFE and HomeSmart may supply the hardware. That relationship is stated plainly and does not dictate the platform.
