Some units take a network adapter or a wired connection. Others connect through the maker’s API. Many existing units only understand infrared, just like a remote. Each route differs in feedback, reliability and upkeep.
So we start with your model numbers and controllers, and the proposal fits the equipment you actually have.
Good automation understands the room
A schedule on its own rarely does the job. Room temperature, whether someone’s there, an open door and your sleep or work routine can all make the aircon more useful, as long as the rules stay easy to follow.
You always keep a manual override and sensible limits, so anyone can change the room without arguing with an automation.
We measure results instead of promising a percentage
Automation can cut obvious waste, like cooling an empty room for hours. But real savings depend on your equipment, the room, the weather and how you live, so we don’t put a one-size-fits-all savings figure on it.
Where it’s practical, we can show runtime or energy use in Home Assistant and fine-tune the routine around real use.

Questions about aircon control.
Can Home Assistant control any aircon?+
No. It depends on your exact indoor unit, controller and the connection available. Many infrared units can be automated, while native or wired control needs support for your specific model.
Is infrared aircon control reliable?+
It can work well, but basic infrared is usually one-way, so it may not know when someone uses another remote. Where the transmitter sits, how it tracks the aircon and your backup controls all need careful thought.
Will the original aircon remote still work?+
Yes, in the setups we normally recommend. You keep your familiar remote, and we test how changes you make with it show up (or don’t) in Home Assistant.
Will smart control lower my electricity bill?+
It can help reduce cooling in empty rooms, but savings depend on your equipment, settings and habits. We don’t promise a fixed percentage. Where suitable, we can plan metering to help you track the result.
