Give KNX and Home Assistant the jobs they do best
An existing or planned KNX system does not need to be replaced to gain a modern interface and broader integrations. KNX can continue to handle dependable building controls while Home Assistant brings systems together and adds carefully chosen automations.
We record which system is responsible for each function. Essential lighting and climate controls should not rely on an experimental connection simply because it looked good in a demonstration.
Plan the network with the rest of the home
Weak coverage, roaming problems and an overloaded router become obvious quickly in a landed property. Access-point locations, wired cabling, equipment space and administrator access should be planned early, alongside the lighting and curtains.

01Can Home Assistant integrate with KNX?+
Yes. A documented KNX/IP interface can share selected KNX controls and information with Home Assistant. We keep the responsibilities clear so the connection adds useful features without making the home less reliable.
02Should a landed home rely entirely on wireless devices?+
Usually not. Wired network backhaul and suitable wired control remain valuable for critical and high-traffic systems. Wireless protocols are then used deliberately where they offer flexibility or avoid unnecessary construction.
03When should the integrator join a landed project?+
Before the electrical, lighting, network and ceiling plans are final. Early coordination prevents duplicate systems and equipment being hidden where it cannot be serviced.
04Can the work be phased?+
Yes, if the base network, wiring allowances and control boundaries are designed for the later phases from the start.
